Hockey Cock ?

We gotta stop scoring first!  Dropped one to the Blue Bastards 3-1.  A little redemption seeing how they thumped us the last time.
Kijiji Goalie Jerry stepped in for Ronnie.
(Just put a little cream on that Ronnie it'll clear right up)

Hockey Cock, that is.
On the back end we had Pierre, Ti-Ga, Brian and Marc.  Upfront we had Gilles, Ti-Boy, JP, Hob, Karl, PA, and myself.  We got on the board early to make 1-0. As usual they outskated us and beat us to most of the loose pucks.  We played well defensively and Jerry was decent.  Up front we just didn't have any pop.  We had some chances, but as of late, we can't seem to finish.
We had a couple of power plays, which were dreadful.  Had we at least scored on one of them it might have changed our fate.
So there ya have it.  That's three losses in a row.
The highlight of the night was after the game, which is usually the case.  Pierre make a joke about Jerry being allowed to shower or something and his response was, "I'm going home to give the wife the Hockey Cock!"
We think it might be a Halifax thing.  I'm more concerned about the execution of said Hockey Cock. So you get home all sweaty and announce to the Wife, "Lube up Honey, Here come the Hockey Cock!"....or something to that effect.
I think we'll have to get Jerry back to fill us in with more details.

Damn!

Lost a tight one.  Dropped one to the Orange Bastards for the first time in a long time.  Lost 3-2.  We had a 1-0 lead for most of the game.  Then they got a couple to go up 2-1.  We tied it with 3 or 4 minutes to go.  But they got one with a little over a minute to go.  We pulled Ronnie and had a mad scramble at the end but could get the equalizer.
Both Goalies were on their game.  It was a good game.

Beat Down at the CAGE

Ya, it's F***ing in there somewhere.....
Well that was Ugly!  Seven lambs were at the slaughter last night.  A 9-3 beat down at the hands of the Red Bastards.  PA, Matt, Gilles, Karl, Ti-Boy, Hob, and myself.  The Red Bastards threw us a bone and sent "Albert" over to help us out for a grand total of eight.

We started out Ok, Matt got us on the board first with a rush up the right side and ripped one blocker side from the top of the circle.  Back and forth it went.  They got the next couple to make it 2-1 at around half time. At this point Hob and Karl had both missed breakaways which could have changed the tone of the game. But the wheels on the wagon started to wobble, or should I say the legs started to wobble.  We started standing around and they had some jump.  They started popping them in.  We made it 5-2 with a strange bank shot from the corner form Karl.  With about 17 minutes to go, we could have still made a game of it, but no go.
They banged in a few more and we got the last goal late and that was all she wrote. Ronnie saw lots of rubber, so we owe 'em one.

Ronnie the Wordsmith!

Dougie,

Not sure where to start?

On Thursday we played the Blue Bastards. We jumped out to a 1-0 lead early in the game, then it went down hill from there. We held on to the 1 goal lead for what felt like a long time. I remember standing there after one of my saves, thinking I had just stopped about my twenty fifth shot, sweating like the pig I am, my legs starting to feel like tree stumps. I looked up at the clock, and there was 47 mins left!!!!

At that time, I knew we were in for a long night. We lost 7-3. I don’t think it was ever that close, even when we had the 1-0 lead. The highlight of the night was Karl’s buddy. I believe they said his name was Mike, but I think it was a bad version of Ron Duguay and Barry Melrose. They guy had a real mullet! That was the only good part of his game! In the room prior to the game, he looked like he had an edge to him. But I was wrong, there was no edge. I don’t think his skates had edges either.

On Saturday night, we faired a little better against the Red Bastards. We won the game 4-3. We jumped out to a 3-0 lead within the first 10 mins. At that point, we had decided that we would walk all over them. So we watched them play for the next 40 minutes. And play they did! They tied it up at 3 apiece. This seemed to light a spark under our jock straps as we clawed our way into their zone and PA jammed one past Rob the goalie to seal the victory for the good guys!

Back to Back

Late getting this one out.  Beat the Orange Bastards 4-2 with an empty netter.  It was back in time.  We peppered their Goalie and left way too many goals out there.
We were up 3-1 for a good chunk of the game and just let them hang around as we couldn't bury our chance.  They got one late to make it 3-2.  They pulled the goalie and with a mad scramble we managed to put it away with an empty netter.  Was a lot closer than it had to be.
There ya have it, 4-2 for the good guys, take that ya Orange Bastards!
