Merry Xmas ya Blue Bastards!

Quite the Game last Wednesday.  First off we received our new Sweaters and Ti-Boy made the call to arms that it was official Beer & Wings Xmas outing so we had a full house.  3 Lines and 6 D!  George made a special appearance and broke in Hob's new sweater for him.
We handed the Blue Bastards a 6-4 beating to send them on their Merry Way!
Upfront we had myself, George, Jeff, Gilles, Ti-Boy, Karl, Guy, JP, & PA.  On the back end we had Brian, Matt, Pierre, Ti-Gars, Andy, and Marc.
We got off to a quick start and found ourselves with a 4-1 lead.  They Blue Bastards were still coming and you could tell they weren't enjoying having their collective asses handed to them.  They popped a couple and we found ourselves in a one goal game at 4-3.  We made it 5-3, they came back again to make it 5-4.  We got another to make it 6-4 then, Rookie JP "faked" a slap shot in the last three minutes to get the penalty shot.  Ronnie would have none of it.
Ronnie was solid, and we clogged things up for the most part in our end.  PA lead the charge with a hat trick and by his own admission could easily have had a few more.  Gilles got us the last one and Matt got things rolling with the first goal of the game.  The other highlight was Wally's visible and audible disgust!  Many a heated cuss words were heard from beneath the mask of our beloved Wally as we put six goals behind him.
Had a great turnout at the bar afterwords. I suspect many of you suffered the next morning of lack of sleep, ring of fire, the trots, and farting razor blades the next day.....or was that just me?

Merry Xmas...or as Brian would have us say..

Happy Holidays!
..........Ok, maybe not!

Hard fought Tie

Another Hockey Disapointment

Tied the Red Bastards 4-4.  It was a hard fought game, although some of us didn't have much fight... (Staff party = hangover).

On the backend we had Brian, Ti-Gars, Pierre, and PA.  Upfront we had Hob, Gilles, Karl, Jeff, JP, and yours truly.
I think we grabbed the 1-0 lead.  Not sure how it got to 2-2 but they got the next one to make it 3-2 for them.  We battled back to tie it but they went up 4-3 with about 8 to 6 minutes left.  Then to make it interesting we got a penalty.
After we iced it while killing the penalty, Rob the Red Bastard was handling the puck and farting around.  Karl forechecked and Rob muffed the pass to his D-man.  Karl snapped it up and fed it to Hob who broke for the slot.  Hob let it go quick with a nice hard shot right on the ice and fooled Rob through the five hole.  HA!  Short handed.  Tie game 4-4.  Back and forth for the last few minutes but that was that.  Ron had a solid game and there ya have it.  4-4 Tie ya Red Bastards!

Ron "Shoulders" the Load!

It was an entertaining win last night! Beat the Orange Bastards 6-2!  First we had to hear the story of Ron's dislocated shoulder....and surprisingly it wasn't reaching for the cookie jar or pulling a Griswald and falling off a ladder putting up Xmas lights that did it.  It was lifting his daughters ringette bag out of the van.  Ok, that was a let down, but on the positive side Ron came back with a vengence and posted one of his best games of the year!
On the Blue Line we had myself, Matt, Brian, & PA.  Up front we had JP, Gilles, Guy, Ti-Boy, Karl, and Ken.
Things started off grand as the game started and the first change on the fly, Karl Barter threw his legs over the boards to hit the ice and promptly fell flat on his Ass.  But you can't keep a good man down...or maybe you can.  He pops up only to fall flat on his Ass again!
HE LEFT ONE SKATE GUARD ON!  BAHAHAHAHAHAH (catch my breath), BHAHAHAHAHA!
We got the first one to make it 1-0.  Then I pulled a classic.  On the point in their end, the puck carems off the boards and I'm thinking, (and there's where the problem started), I'm going to one time it towards the net...no I'm going to stop it...no I'm going to one time....there it goes right between my legs. Nice one McCluskey ya Rockhead!
So, ya like my Five Hole?
No damage done, we got another and then they popped one in to make it 2-1, and that was as close as they came.  Guy had one of those nights!  He got four on the night. Seemed everything he put at the net went in.  I think Chicky-Poo at the other end is sweet on him or something.  Matt found the Five Hole on her on a shot from the point after we won the face off,  and Ken pulled a classic Toe drag at the blue line and he banged it through the Five Hole. She does have a lovely Five Hole.
Special shout goes out to Ti-Boy who played center and was actually spotted backchecking and clogging up the slot on more than one occasion.
The last five minutes we did everything except pull a "Gauvin" and score on our own net.  We bumbled, and stumbeled our way in our own end and Ron kept making the stops.  Brian had a lovely dipsy-doodle on our Blue Line in the final minute, lost the puck, and let Buddy walk in all alone....but Ron would have non of it!  So there ya have it!  At the buzzer it was 6-2 for the good guys, take that ya Orange Bastards!

Long live Rob the Red Bastard. At least for this week.

Finally beat the Blue Bastards in their faggy ass new sweaters.  Big shout out to Rob The Red Bastard for stepping in between the pipes for us at the last minute.  On the blue line we had Brian, Andy, Ti-Gas, and PA.  Upfront we had myslef, Gilles, Guy, Remi, Karl, Ti-Boy, JP, and new spare Ron.

A shutout win! Rob was solid all night and never flinched.  Made some great saves and didn't give up anything cheap.  We struggled at times getting out of our end, but we managed to keep things clogged up for the most part.  We had some good chances and well and their goalie made some good stops.  We got up one to make 1-0 with great shot from Guy in slot right off the post.
We got the second from Ti-Boy who was Johnny on the spot to bang home a rebound to go 2-0.  The third came from Remi. It was a quick paced game and we benefited from having the extra set of wingers.
When the buzzer went it was 3-0 for the Good Guys.  Take that ya Blue Bastards!

Two for One Update

Two'fer!  Little late updating so it'll be just the bare bones updated.  We'll start with the miserable loss last Thursday to the Blue Bastards.  Flashback to last year, we had them 3-1 and lost 5-4.

Got back on track on Saturday with a come from behind win. We were leading then they came back and tied it, then went ahead.  We were down 5-4 but rallied to win 7-5.  Take that, ya Orange Bastards!

P U

What a smelly TURD!

This one was a Turd!  Lost 6-4 or something to the Orange Bastards.  Neither team was very sharp.  Up front we had Jeff, Hob, Karl, Gilles, Ti-Boy, and out of hibernation, Ken.  On D we had myself, Brian, Ti-Gars, and PA.  Gauvin was there, but he forgot his pants!  Way to go Sparky!  So he was honourary coach/water boy.
It was a sloppy mess.  As I mentioned, neither team was very sharp, and wasn't generating much offence.  We morphed back into classic Lewisville where we wern't shooting the puck or driving the net.  When we finally did, that's how we did score, was banging shit home in front of the net. We were down by two most of the night, although we did pull to within one with about 2 minutes to go.  We were all ready to pull Ron,  but right after the face off, Brian knocked the puck out of the air, just above the waist, for a penalty shot.  Turdnugget scored but Ronnie chopped him down real good!
If you wern't there, ask Ron what happend on the one from the left side...."Aww ya F#*&^%*^&%^&^" (with Scottish accent)
So we're on a bit of a skid, Calisse!

Inevitable....

Well you knew we had to drop one eventually.  The Blue Bastards (formerly the White Bastards) beat us 6-3. Woin!
We had to scramble to get a lineup together.  Marc, Ron's brother, bravely stepped in between the pipes. On the blue line we had myself, PA, Andy, and Ti-gars.  Upfront we had Gilles, Jeff, Gino (spare), Karl, Hob, and Joey (spare).
In all fairness, the Blue Bastards were gunning for us.  They hustled all night. We just couldn't get anything going.  We couldn't hang on to the puck and what chances we did get, Wally that Bastard, was up to his old tricks and shut the door.  At one point we got within two at 5-3, but that was as close as we got. Some of the guys said we were within one, but I don't thinks so.  Doesn't matter, they had more than we did. So there ya have it.  Loss to the Blue Bastards 6-3.  First of the year. 'Calisse!

Hung on to stay undefeated

The Tanks were empty after this one
It was a dog fight but we managed to stay undefeated as we tied the Green Bastards 3-3.  We had two lines and 3 D.  On the blue line we had Marc, Gauvin, & Ti-Gars.  Upfront, we had Jeff, Gilles, PA, Ti-Boy, Karl, and myself.  I know! You're saying, "Look at the speed up front!"
We got off to a quick start to make it 1-0.  They tied it and we took the lead again 2-1.  It stayed that way for a while.  The Green Bastards had four D and two lines with one spare up front.  It was just a matter of time as we started to fade.  They tied it and you could feel the ice start to tilt towards our end.  We were still getting our chances, but the momentum had changed.
Queue, Ronnie.  There was about a ten minutes stretch Ron made some great saves, but they managed to tie it up and then take  the lead, 3-2.  We managed to tie it quickly again with Ti-Boy picking up a loose puck and putting a nice pass across to Karl for the tap in.
We also had to kill some penalties and we definitely were't getting the calls.
The last 8 minutes were back and forth. We had our chances, PA missed a breakaway a got a penalty on the same play....that was a first.  Jeff got a breakaway and shot a Field Goal!  Karl & I couldn't corral a juicy rebound an put it behind a sprawling Rob and I got a good shot off in the slot late but Rob again made a good glove save.  We actually had them pinned in the last minute  but couldn't get it to the front of the net.
So there ya have it!  A hard fought tie to keep the undefeated streak alive.

PS.  It's bring a buddy Saturday.  If you're coming to the game try and bring a spare. We're going to be very short this Saturday.

PSS.  Jeff sent his dues via online banking.  It worked like a charm.  If you do online backing (and really, who doesn't), look for the send $$ via email or Interac in your online banking.

Ronnie's Report

"I was amazing, as usual!"...Ron
Wasn't at the game last Saturday, so Ron our guest report fills us in.

"We played the Orange Bastards, and I think the final score was 8-3?

I was amazing as usual, and the rest of the guys contributed as well!

We had 10 skaters. Guy, Pierre Niles, Gilles, Roger, PA, and Karl up front with Marc, Matt, Pierre G. and Ti-gars at D.

I believe they had 12 skaters, but never really got close."

Take that ya Orange Bastards!

The Mighty have fallen

A complete and total dismantling and A** F***ing of the White Bastards.  A little hollow in the fact that Wally wasn't between the pipes, but none the less, "How you like me now, Ya White pricks?".  That's right, 11-3, and it wasn't even that close!
Up front we had yours truly, Gilles, Jeff, Guy, PA and Hob. Patrolling the Blue line we had Brian, Gauvin, Andy and Marc.
Funny thing was the White Bastards had 12 Skaters.  Rarely do these Dorks have more than ten.  They were gunning for us. Two straight losses to us...maybe they were a littel cranky pants.  Just saying.
We got the first one and quickly they tied it to make it 1-1.  We got the next one to make it 2-1...and that was as close as they got all night.  For the first 10 to 15 minutes it was back and forth.  We did a good job clogging up the slot and keeping things to the outside.
Ronnie was solid, taking car of the first shot.  We had a few shifts where we got hemmed in but weathered the storm. We got the next 3 goals and before you knew it, it was 4-1.  At this point it was done.  Buddy at the other end had a rough night, yet he didn't get much help.  We proceeded to run up the score to 9-1.  At this point there was still 16 minutes left on the clock...ouch. We exchanged a few goals and finally it was over...11-3 for the good guys!
How in Hell did we not win one 'effing game against these Bung holes last year!
Take that, ya White Bastards!

Shoot Out at the Cage!

Shoot Out as the Cage!
It was a Wild One at the cage last night.  We beat the Organge Bastards 10-6!  We started the night up front with myself, Jeff, Guy, Karl, Remi, Ti-boy, & Gilles.  Gilles had the hot hand seemed to be in on every goal last night.  Must be the new pants!  On the back end we had Ti-Gas, Gauvin, PA, and Brian.  Me, Guy, and Jeff buzzed for the first 10 minutes but just couldn't seem to finish a play.  The other line seemed to popping one in every shift.  We build up a lead and it never really was close.  I'm not going to even try to map out the goals.
At one point in the second half they got within 3 goals but that's as close as they got.  I was never in doubt.  It was just one of those wild shoot outs.  At one point Ronnie seemed confused and picked fight with his water bottle down in the corner, we're still not sure what was going on there?
The main event was Brian getting tossed.  It started along the boards in our end, Brian was going to get called for a slash on a delayed penalty.  As the play continued, not sure what went down, but the pushing, shoving, and yapping started.  Brian dropped his gloves and was tossed.  So I went back on D and we evened up the lines and things cooled down and we cruised to the win.
Take that ya Orange Bastards!

Welcome Back Wally!

Add caption
The Incredible 8! That's right kiddies, we put it to the White Bastards 6-3 with only 8 skaters.  They had 9, two lines with 3 D.  Up front we had yours truly, PA, Hob, Gilles, Remi.  On the back end we had Gauvin, Ti-Gas, and Brian. We got the first one, but then a minute later they tied it to make it 1-1.  We definitely had the advantage in the first half.  We passed the puck and were able to keep possession.  We started shooting a little more than we did the last game.  We banged home 3 unanswered goals to push the lead to 4-1.  Welcome back Wally!  They got one to make it 4-2 which gave them a little life. It stay that way for a while and it was a good game back and forth.  Ronnie was solid as he started to face more rubber in the second half.  We did a good job taking away the slot and the D kept the shots from mostly the outside.  We finally got the 5th goal and soon got another to make it 6-2.  We let up and they got a garbage time goal in the last 2 minutes but that was that!
Take that, ya White Bastards!  6-3 for the Good Guys.

Still undefeated.....but.

Doh!
Tied the Green Bastards 3-3 last night.  We kind of let this one slip.  Upfront we had myslef, PA, Karl, Remi, Hob, and Gilles.  On the back end we had Gauvin, Ti-Gas, Brian, and Marc.
We jumped out to a 2-0 lead.  We exchanged goals to make it 3-1.  It looked like we had things under control. We each had two lines and of course at the Cage it's always a fast game.  The first half we had things under control.  The second half the Green Bastards started to make a push and Ronnie started getting a few more shots.  At the other end Rob the "Green Bastard" started to shut us down.  We were still getting chances but we just couldn't seem to get that fourth one.  One of our D got caught on a pinch and they scored at the other end on a 3-on-1 to make it 3-2.  A bit later the got a short handed one as Ronnie got fooled with shot right on the ice, inside the post.
We went back and forth and neither team managed to get the winner.  So there ya have it.....a Tie!  Like kissing your Sister....BLECH!

Ooglee Win

No Real HNIC so we'll have to do.
We beat the Orange Bastards 4-3. It wasn't purdy but we'll take it.  We had three lines up front with Hob, PA, Karl, Gilles, Ti-Gas, Ti-Boy, Jeff, Guy and myself.  On the Blue line we had Brian, Marc, Gauvin, and Matt.  The Orange Bastards, only had two lines and 3 D.  It should have been a cakewalk.  We jumped out to 2-0 lead.  Then we traded goals and it was 3-1.  We just weren't clicking.  We were getting chances but we couldn't finish a play.  We were trying to get a little fancy when we should have been shooting.  We should have skated them into the ground, but will take it.  The ugly ones count too.
It ended 4-3, take that ya Orange Bastards!

How Sweet it is

Waited a long time for this one.  Crushed the White Bastards (sans Wally) 7-2 last night.  It was a beauty.  On the blue line we had Matt, Pierre, Mark, and Andy.  Upfront we had yours truly, Gilles, Ti-Gas, Hob, Karl, PA, Jeff, and Rookie Remi.
It was a faced paced game in the Cage.  The White Bastards picked up  few new guys as well and they had good wheels too.  Things didn't start off so hot as they jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but we got one back quickly to make it 2-1. Of course Ronnie let the first shot go in...C'mon! It's tradition.  But he tightened things up and was solid the rest of the night.  We traded a few more goals and it was knotted at 3-3.  At some point two of the White Bastards collided on our blue line and #19 took the worst of it.  Both were OK but still, that was funny shit. HA!
We slowly took the momemtum and never looked back and spanked 'em 7-2 with the last goal, a short handed beauty with Ti-gars and Gilles finishing off a little tic-tac-toe play.  We were lead by the Rookie Remi with a Hat Trick. That was the best thing Hob did all night was bring this guy to the rink.  We had a strong Power Play midway through the second half that really put them on their heels and took the wind outta of 'em.  We didn't score but we rolled on from there.
Take that, ya White Bastards!

We ain't getting shoved around this year

Had 10 players on the nose up against the Geen Bastards.  Yours truly, Gilles, Jeff, Guy, Karl, and Niles up front with Matt, Brian, Gauvin, and PA patrolling the Blue Line.
Special mention goes out to Ronnie who said he was coming, then he wasn't...and forgot to call his brother....ya Donkey!
Have no fear.  Guess who is between the pipes for the White Bastards, filling in.  Our 'Ole Boy Alain!  He agrees to play a second game...Beauty!
We jumped out to an early lead 2-0. They finally got on the board to make it 2-1.  The game flowed back and forth and we managed to start to pull away with a couple to make it 4-1.  We got a purdy one from Gilles who on a line change broke in without anybody around.  He dipsy-doodled through about three guys cut across the middle of the slot and slid one in the 'ole five hole.
The Green Bastards started to get a little testy and started to put some pressure on after they got one to bring it to 4-2.
Our Rookie Brian introduced himself to the Green Bastards and things got a little chippy. Niles had a good collision along the boards as well, Al was solid and we cruised to the 4-2 win, take that Ya Green Bastards!
Lewisville ain't no easy W this year ya pricks!

And....They're OFF !!! Season 2012/13

Started the season off with a Bang!  8-4 Ass Stompin' of the Orange Bastards.  Up front we had myself, Gilles, Jeff, Guy, Hob, & Karl.  On the back end we welcomed two Rookies, Matt and Brian, with Pierre and PA rounding things out.  Pierre was our "smallest" D-man!

The Orange Bastards only had 7 skaters.  We jumped out to an early 2-0 lead.  We traded a few and by the half it was 4-2 for the good guys.  Ronny made some good saves and didn't let them back in the game.  In the second we popped a few more and soon it was 7-2.....then the Hockey Gods poked us.

Gilles and I broke up a play at our blue line, and in my infinite wisdom I pushed it ahead to let Gilles take off on a breakaway....which he promptly botched...first game hands of cement syndrome...and of course the play goes the other way and bam! they put one in. Seconds later off the face off they popped another.  So after a missed breakaway which would have made it 8-2 now we're at 7-4 with about 8 minutes to go.....wheels starting to wobble!

Then just to make things interesting Guy gets a hooking call with one hand on his stick.  I guess it was the Ref's first game of the year too.
But, we managed to hike up our collective skirts and kill off the penalty and put home a late one to make the final 8-4.  Take that, ya Orange Bastards!  Ronny was solid and Hob lead the way with 4 goals.

Yellow Bastards!

Well this is a weird one.  We had 11 skates and they had 7.  So in all fairness we sent a guy over.....me.  Don't know how that was decided...but there ya have it.
The Yellow Bastards beat us 5-0.  It was a tight affair for the first half, with the Yellow Bastards holding a 1-0 lead.  We had our chances early.  I won't go into great detail about the yawning cage I had, I'm sure Ronnie will take great delight in retelling it at the next game.
Then we (Green Bastards) ran out of gas and pretty much stood around like pylons for the last half as the Yellow Bastards ran up the score.
Strange indeed.  I vote someone else can cross to the other side next time.

Quick catch up...

Fight 'till the End Boys!
Yours truly wasn't around the last two games, so we have some guest Bloggers.  Here with last Wednesday night's report is the always colourfull and offensive Pierre G.

Good L... with only 6 skaters against 9 on the other side... we held them to a 4-2 loss and probably had more chances to score than them.

Personnally I only sat for one shift and for a 3 minute penalty...

Ti-Gars did the same..

Ron was good....    Kenny, Hob, Gilles and Guy gave everything they had ...but couldn't skate any more...

With a report on last Saturday's game we have Mr. Toe-drag himself, Ti-Boy:

3 lines & 5 defence. We had more spares than Good year tire. Down 8-6 with 2 min left and we tied er up. We had Robo cops for refs. They told Ron to change his mask. Pierre gave him his helmet and then changed Ron’s mask for him. He had a spare one and it took Pierre 15 minutes to change it. Then Pierre got on the ice and got a 10 min misconduct. Pierre saw about 3 min of ice time.

So to recap for those of you who keeping track at home that's what a Loss and a Tie.  Four games to go Gents!  Oh, Yes!  And there's that little issue of a Road Trip to Summerside.  I think we couldn't have picked a better year to hit the road!

What a difference 48 hrs makes

48 hrs after one of the weirdest twilight zone games losing 6-1, we played one of this year's better games with a 8-2 beat down of the Orange Bastards.  Instead of going with 3 sets of wingers and 2 centers, we decided to go with 3 lines and 3 D.
On the blueline we had Andy, Marc, and Ti-Gas.  Upfront we had Hob, Joey, Pierre, Gilles, Ti-Boy, Bob, Karl, PA, and myself.  We dominated from the start to finish.  We skated hard and kept the lines rolling quickly.  We held on to the puck, carried it through the neutral zone and gained the offensive zone with possession. We cycled well and got lots of shots.  Their goalie was busy all night.  Despite giving up eight, were it not for him, it would have been a hell of a lot worse.
At the other end Ronnie was solid, not giving up anything cheap, and controlled the initial shot.  We were much better in our own end.  Our 3 D held up, although Andy near the end was sucking more wind than a ShopVac, but he pulled through.  Let's say we'll dedicate the win to Jeff's new smile.  Hope the choppers aren't too bad.

Now, for this coming Thursday.  It's a Call to Arms!  We're playing the White Bastards.  We have not beat these pricks once this year.  Guys, if you're in town make the effort to come play.  We can't go a full season without beating these Ass Monkeys!  We've only got 2 maybe 3 more shots at 'em.

Lost for words

I feel Shame
Wow....really don't know how to put into words what the fuck went down last night.  We had a full squad with 3 lines and 5 D.  Lost to the Green Bastards 6-1.  Shoving after the whistles, Misconducts, blow fuses, shot tempers, and missing teeth....what a clusterfuck!
We got down quick 3 goals in the first 5 to 7 minutes and the it got WORSE.  None of our 3 lines were clicking....we were getting caught with long bomb passes, we couldn't make a pass or catch a pass.  Couldn't carry it through the neutral zone, weren't following up our shots at the net.....Shite all round!  It's been a strange year indeed.
We have 10 Games left....that's right, 10 games.  Then we head to Summerside. Just how the hell is this season going to end?

Make mine a Double!
The highlight of the night was Ken informing us of the new teenage trends involving Ass Holes, Tampax, and Booze. Just don't has Ken for a Double!

Wednesday, February 15, 2012

8 Skaters.....

8 Skaters....3 of them were spares....against the White Bastards.  It was 2-2 at half time.  Then the wheels fell off.
That's all I got to say about that.

Friday, February 10, 2012

F$%# !!!!

Ahhhhhhhhh  !!!!!!!!!!
I'm still so disgusted with last night's game....this is going to be short.
We had a 2-1 lead with 5 minutes left.....
We 'effing lost 3-2.  The game winner came seconds after what should have been a Too Many Men on the Ice call that wasn't called.
That's all I have to say about that!

Last Goal wins!

Little late with the update for Saturday's Game.  Gimme a break, it was Super Bowl Weekend!
Congrats Pierre Niles, the lone Giants fan on our team.
Saturday we got out to quick 3-0 lead and it looked like we were going to cruise......but Nooooooo!
Within a few shifts they banged home three to tie it up at 3-3...and the shootout was on.  Back and forth it went. It was  knotted up a six when we got a power play with just under 4 minutes to go.  We controlled the puck and managed to get few shots through but couldn't bang it home.  We definitely held the advantage in play, it was just one of those nights.  One of the highlights was Ronnie's save at the blue line....Yes!...he made a save at our blue line! Let's just say Ron went for a little skate!

Couldn't make the last game so Pierre G. sends in this report:

Hey Doug,

Comments on game last night... Well we had PA, Marc, Bill and Pierre on
D and from the get go the guys up front Centers Guy, Jeff Wingers,
Ti-boy + Gilles, Karl + George, Hob + Ken had a definite jump.  Before
we knew it we were up 4-0 and coasting an easy win against the Green
B@%#$  who had 2 full lines and then some.  Then as someone coined Ron
Kept it close...    Bounce of here and in, bounce of there and in...
With about 1:30 left we were up 6-5 and PA decided it was time to pinch.
Big Ken with shot from inside our blue line to the dead center of the
net to ice the game 7-5 ... There you go mange de la M@rde you Green
B@stards.

Rob the Green Goalie was not his usually self and the last goal by guy
was an indication of his night when it go dumped in.. Off the back
boards through his legs to Guy's stick with the net wide open.  But we
dominated the game, passed very well, back-checked enough and scored 3
or 4 really nice goals..

Enjoy the All-Star break boyz...like Ovechkin.

I know you're listening Wally...ya Bastard

Ya White Bastards!
Once again the White Bastards pulled one.  Warren was between the pipes and played a Hell of a game....but we just couldn't get the goals to help him out.  On the Blue line we had Andy, Ti-Gas, and PA.  Upfront we had myself Pierre N, George, Jeff, Karl, and Bob.  Lost 4-2 (empty netter) to the White Bastards.
They jumped out to an early 1-0 lead.  Stayed that way for a while then we tied it, Jeff buried a laser top shelf,  blocker side to make it 1-1. It was a fast paced game and it was back and forth.  We did a better job coming back and picking up the trailer, and managed to clog up the neutral zone so they weren't breaking out free and clear.  Once again we had our chances.  They took the lead 2-1 with about 8 minutes to go.  We finally started just firing it a the net after that and started to buzz but just couldn't corral the rebounds.
We pressed for the equalizer and our D got caught pinching, Karl, couldn't catch that prick #19 and he scored on a breakaway.  We pulled within one after I picked up a turnover in their end fed it over to Pierre and he put one past a sprawling Wally, with just under two minutes to go.  We struggled to get possession, but finally got it deep and pulled Warren.  We managed to get a couple of whacks at it, but no go.  They got it out and put one in the empty net.

The big story though happened before the game.  Wally skated over and told us he found our Blog.  Doh!  Said he was looking for Lewisville minor hockey times or something....the Blog came up in the search results.  Great!  Now I may have to censor our shit.  I'm just surprised that Wally knows there's other shit on the internet besides Porn!

D - Fence!

Wow....a win! Beat the Orange Bastards 4-2.  For the first time in a long time we had four D at the game.  Pierre, Ti-Gas, Marc & Andy.  It makes a big difference.  Upfront we myself, Karl, George, PA, Ti-Boy, Gilles, Guy, & Hob.
Sam came back for more even after getting bombed the last game.  Didn't look good early as we fell behind early 2-0. But it was it was shitty bounces and it didn't really feel like we were out of it.  We took momentum and scored four unanswered goals.  Sam was solid the rest of the way.  We skated a little better, and hustled and battled for the loose pucks. When all was said and done it was 4-2 for the Good Guys!  Take that ya Orange Bastards.

The Misery continues

Oh, the Misery
We had quite a few spares show up along with a spare goalie.  We had myself and PA as one defensive pairing and Andy and Gary as the other.  Gary hadn't played in over a dozen years.....so you can see where this is going.  Karl had new skates, George was hungover, and the one good spare we had ended up playing for the Green Bastards 'cause they were short.
It was 6-0 before we knew it.  Andy blew a fuse and got a 10 misconduct and George was cranky, got into it and he ended up in the box as well.  We managed to get a few chances and it ended 8-4.
And that's all I have to say about that.

3 Strikes

First a little catchup.  While I was in Grand Falls last week, we managed to bumble our way to two losses.  8-4 at the hands of the Green Bastards, then 2-1 at the hands of the Orange Bastards.
It's been reported to me that Pierre Niles distinguished himself in the latter loss by setting an all time Lewisville Team record in futility around the net. I guess he had more chances to score than a Cheeleader at a Keg Party.  He then topped it off with an expletive laced rant about the game to his wife over the phone later that night....but didn't know she had him on speaker phone...and now his daughter has some lovely new words to add to her vocabulary.

Meanwhile, last night, was Deja Vu.  We had the 'effing White Bastards 3-1 early.  They came all the way back to take a lead 4-3.  We tied it and it was going to be one of those nights.  They popped two more to jump out 6-4.  We got a power play then got a 5 on 3 advantage.  We buzzed and had good control but couldn't put one by Wally.  We exchanged a few more goals and it ended 8-5 for the Fucking White Bastards.
