P U

What a smelly TURD!

This one was a Turd!  Lost 6-4 or something to the Orange Bastards.  Neither team was very sharp.  Up front we had Jeff, Hob, Karl, Gilles, Ti-Boy, and out of hibernation, Ken.  On D we had myself, Brian, Ti-Gars, and PA.  Gauvin was there, but he forgot his pants!  Way to go Sparky!  So he was honourary coach/water boy.
It was a sloppy mess.  As I mentioned, neither team was very sharp, and wasn't generating much offence.  We morphed back into classic Lewisville where we wern't shooting the puck or driving the net.  When we finally did, that's how we did score, was banging shit home in front of the net. We were down by two most of the night, although we did pull to within one with about 2 minutes to go.  We were all ready to pull Ron,  but right after the face off, Brian knocked the puck out of the air, just above the waist, for a penalty shot.  Turdnugget scored but Ronnie chopped him down real good!
If you wern't there, ask Ron what happend on the one from the left side...."Aww ya F#*&^%*^&%^&^" (with Scottish accent)
So we're on a bit of a skid, Calisse!

Inevitable....

Well you knew we had to drop one eventually.  The Blue Bastards (formerly the White Bastards) beat us 6-3. Woin!
We had to scramble to get a lineup together.  Marc, Ron's brother, bravely stepped in between the pipes. On the blue line we had myself, PA, Andy, and Ti-gars.  Upfront we had Gilles, Jeff, Gino (spare), Karl, Hob, and Joey (spare).
In all fairness, the Blue Bastards were gunning for us.  They hustled all night. We just couldn't get anything going.  We couldn't hang on to the puck and what chances we did get, Wally that Bastard, was up to his old tricks and shut the door.  At one point we got within two at 5-3, but that was as close as we got. Some of the guys said we were within one, but I don't thinks so.  Doesn't matter, they had more than we did. So there ya have it.  Loss to the Blue Bastards 6-3.  First of the year. 'Calisse!

Hung on to stay undefeated

The Tanks were empty after this one
It was a dog fight but we managed to stay undefeated as we tied the Green Bastards 3-3.  We had two lines and 3 D.  On the blue line we had Marc, Gauvin, & Ti-Gars.  Upfront, we had Jeff, Gilles, PA, Ti-Boy, Karl, and myself.  I know! You're saying, "Look at the speed up front!"
We got off to a quick start to make it 1-0.  They tied it and we took the lead again 2-1.  It stayed that way for a while.  The Green Bastards had four D and two lines with one spare up front.  It was just a matter of time as we started to fade.  They tied it and you could feel the ice start to tilt towards our end.  We were still getting our chances, but the momentum had changed.
Queue, Ronnie.  There was about a ten minutes stretch Ron made some great saves, but they managed to tie it up and then take  the lead, 3-2.  We managed to tie it quickly again with Ti-Boy picking up a loose puck and putting a nice pass across to Karl for the tap in.
We also had to kill some penalties and we definitely were't getting the calls.
The last 8 minutes were back and forth. We had our chances, PA missed a breakaway a got a penalty on the same play....that was a first.  Jeff got a breakaway and shot a Field Goal!  Karl & I couldn't corral a juicy rebound an put it behind a sprawling Rob and I got a good shot off in the slot late but Rob again made a good glove save.  We actually had them pinned in the last minute  but couldn't get it to the front of the net.
So there ya have it!  A hard fought tie to keep the undefeated streak alive.

PS.  It's bring a buddy Saturday.  If you're coming to the game try and bring a spare. We're going to be very short this Saturday.

PSS.  Jeff sent his dues via online banking.  It worked like a charm.  If you do online backing (and really, who doesn't), look for the send $$ via email or Interac in your online banking.

Ronnie's Report

"I was amazing, as usual!"...Ron
Wasn't at the game last Saturday, so Ron our guest report fills us in.

"We played the Orange Bastards, and I think the final score was 8-3?

I was amazing as usual, and the rest of the guys contributed as well!

We had 10 skaters. Guy, Pierre Niles, Gilles, Roger, PA, and Karl up front with Marc, Matt, Pierre G. and Ti-gars at D.

I believe they had 12 skaters, but never really got close."

Take that ya Orange Bastards!

The Mighty have fallen

A complete and total dismantling and A** F***ing of the White Bastards.  A little hollow in the fact that Wally wasn't between the pipes, but none the less, "How you like me now, Ya White pricks?".  That's right, 11-3, and it wasn't even that close!
Up front we had yours truly, Gilles, Jeff, Guy, PA and Hob. Patrolling the Blue line we had Brian, Gauvin, Andy and Marc.
Funny thing was the White Bastards had 12 Skaters.  Rarely do these Dorks have more than ten.  They were gunning for us. Two straight losses to us...maybe they were a littel cranky pants.  Just saying.
We got the first one and quickly they tied it to make it 1-1.  We got the next one to make it 2-1...and that was as close as they got all night.  For the first 10 to 15 minutes it was back and forth.  We did a good job clogging up the slot and keeping things to the outside.
Ronnie was solid, taking car of the first shot.  We had a few shifts where we got hemmed in but weathered the storm. We got the next 3 goals and before you knew it, it was 4-1.  At this point it was done.  Buddy at the other end had a rough night, yet he didn't get much help.  We proceeded to run up the score to 9-1.  At this point there was still 16 minutes left on the clock...ouch. We exchanged a few goals and finally it was over...11-3 for the good guys!
How in Hell did we not win one 'effing game against these Bung holes last year!
Take that, ya White Bastards!

Shoot Out at the Cage!

Shoot Out as the Cage!
It was a Wild One at the cage last night.  We beat the Organge Bastards 10-6!  We started the night up front with myself, Jeff, Guy, Karl, Remi, Ti-boy, & Gilles.  Gilles had the hot hand seemed to be in on every goal last night.  Must be the new pants!  On the back end we had Ti-Gas, Gauvin, PA, and Brian.  Me, Guy, and Jeff buzzed for the first 10 minutes but just couldn't seem to finish a play.  The other line seemed to popping one in every shift.  We build up a lead and it never really was close.  I'm not going to even try to map out the goals.
At one point in the second half they got within 3 goals but that's as close as they got.  I was never in doubt.  It was just one of those wild shoot outs.  At one point Ronnie seemed confused and picked fight with his water bottle down in the corner, we're still not sure what was going on there?
The main event was Brian getting tossed.  It started along the boards in our end, Brian was going to get called for a slash on a delayed penalty.  As the play continued, not sure what went down, but the pushing, shoving, and yapping started.  Brian dropped his gloves and was tossed.  So I went back on D and we evened up the lines and things cooled down and we cruised to the win.
Take that ya Orange Bastards!
