Welcome Back Wally!

Add caption
The Incredible 8! That's right kiddies, we put it to the White Bastards 6-3 with only 8 skaters.  They had 9, two lines with 3 D.  Up front we had yours truly, PA, Hob, Gilles, Remi.  On the back end we had Gauvin, Ti-Gas, and Brian. We got the first one, but then a minute later they tied it to make it 1-1.  We definitely had the advantage in the first half.  We passed the puck and were able to keep possession.  We started shooting a little more than we did the last game.  We banged home 3 unanswered goals to push the lead to 4-1.  Welcome back Wally!  They got one to make it 4-2 which gave them a little life. It stay that way for a while and it was a good game back and forth.  Ronnie was solid as he started to face more rubber in the second half.  We did a good job taking away the slot and the D kept the shots from mostly the outside.  We finally got the 5th goal and soon got another to make it 6-2.  We let up and they got a garbage time goal in the last 2 minutes but that was that!
Take that, ya White Bastards!  6-3 for the Good Guys.

Still undefeated.....but.

Doh!
Tied the Green Bastards 3-3 last night.  We kind of let this one slip.  Upfront we had myslef, PA, Karl, Remi, Hob, and Gilles.  On the back end we had Gauvin, Ti-Gas, Brian, and Marc.
We jumped out to a 2-0 lead.  We exchanged goals to make it 3-1.  It looked like we had things under control. We each had two lines and of course at the Cage it's always a fast game.  The first half we had things under control.  The second half the Green Bastards started to make a push and Ronnie started getting a few more shots.  At the other end Rob the "Green Bastard" started to shut us down.  We were still getting chances but we just couldn't seem to get that fourth one.  One of our D got caught on a pinch and they scored at the other end on a 3-on-1 to make it 3-2.  A bit later the got a short handed one as Ronnie got fooled with shot right on the ice, inside the post.
We went back and forth and neither team managed to get the winner.  So there ya have it.....a Tie!  Like kissing your Sister....BLECH!

Ooglee Win

No Real HNIC so we'll have to do.
We beat the Orange Bastards 4-3. It wasn't purdy but we'll take it.  We had three lines up front with Hob, PA, Karl, Gilles, Ti-Gas, Ti-Boy, Jeff, Guy and myself.  On the Blue line we had Brian, Marc, Gauvin, and Matt.  The Orange Bastards, only had two lines and 3 D.  It should have been a cakewalk.  We jumped out to 2-0 lead.  Then we traded goals and it was 3-1.  We just weren't clicking.  We were getting chances but we couldn't finish a play.  We were trying to get a little fancy when we should have been shooting.  We should have skated them into the ground, but will take it.  The ugly ones count too.
It ended 4-3, take that ya Orange Bastards!

How Sweet it is

Waited a long time for this one.  Crushed the White Bastards (sans Wally) 7-2 last night.  It was a beauty.  On the blue line we had Matt, Pierre, Mark, and Andy.  Upfront we had yours truly, Gilles, Ti-Gas, Hob, Karl, PA, Jeff, and Rookie Remi.
It was a faced paced game in the Cage.  The White Bastards picked up  few new guys as well and they had good wheels too.  Things didn't start off so hot as they jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but we got one back quickly to make it 2-1. Of course Ronnie let the first shot go in...C'mon! It's tradition.  But he tightened things up and was solid the rest of the night.  We traded a few more goals and it was knotted at 3-3.  At some point two of the White Bastards collided on our blue line and #19 took the worst of it.  Both were OK but still, that was funny shit. HA!
We slowly took the momemtum and never looked back and spanked 'em 7-2 with the last goal, a short handed beauty with Ti-gars and Gilles finishing off a little tic-tac-toe play.  We were lead by the Rookie Remi with a Hat Trick. That was the best thing Hob did all night was bring this guy to the rink.  We had a strong Power Play midway through the second half that really put them on their heels and took the wind outta of 'em.  We didn't score but we rolled on from there.
Take that, ya White Bastards!

We ain't getting shoved around this year

Had 10 players on the nose up against the Geen Bastards.  Yours truly, Gilles, Jeff, Guy, Karl, and Niles up front with Matt, Brian, Gauvin, and PA patrolling the Blue Line.
Special mention goes out to Ronnie who said he was coming, then he wasn't...and forgot to call his brother....ya Donkey!
Have no fear.  Guess who is between the pipes for the White Bastards, filling in.  Our 'Ole Boy Alain!  He agrees to play a second game...Beauty!
We jumped out to an early lead 2-0. They finally got on the board to make it 2-1.  The game flowed back and forth and we managed to start to pull away with a couple to make it 4-1.  We got a purdy one from Gilles who on a line change broke in without anybody around.  He dipsy-doodled through about three guys cut across the middle of the slot and slid one in the 'ole five hole.
The Green Bastards started to get a little testy and started to put some pressure on after they got one to bring it to 4-2.
Our Rookie Brian introduced himself to the Green Bastards and things got a little chippy. Niles had a good collision along the boards as well, Al was solid and we cruised to the 4-2 win, take that Ya Green Bastards!
Lewisville ain't no easy W this year ya pricks!

And....They're OFF !!! Season 2012/13

Started the season off with a Bang!  8-4 Ass Stompin' of the Orange Bastards.  Up front we had myself, Gilles, Jeff, Guy, Hob, & Karl.  On the back end we welcomed two Rookies, Matt and Brian, with Pierre and PA rounding things out.  Pierre was our "smallest" D-man!

The Orange Bastards only had 7 skaters.  We jumped out to an early 2-0 lead.  We traded a few and by the half it was 4-2 for the good guys.  Ronny made some good saves and didn't let them back in the game.  In the second we popped a few more and soon it was 7-2.....then the Hockey Gods poked us.

Gilles and I broke up a play at our blue line, and in my infinite wisdom I pushed it ahead to let Gilles take off on a breakaway....which he promptly botched...first game hands of cement syndrome...and of course the play goes the other way and bam! they put one in. Seconds later off the face off they popped another.  So after a missed breakaway which would have made it 8-2 now we're at 7-4 with about 8 minutes to go.....wheels starting to wobble!

Then just to make things interesting Guy gets a hooking call with one hand on his stick.  I guess it was the Ref's first game of the year too.
But, we managed to hike up our collective skirts and kill off the penalty and put home a late one to make the final 8-4.  Take that, ya Orange Bastards!  Ronny was solid and Hob lead the way with 4 goals.
